Angiogenesis is the formation of new blood vessels from the pre-existing ones. It has been shown in molecular level investigations that changes in sera concentration of angiogenesis mediators could be used as promising markers in liver pathology. Pro- and anti-angiogenesis agents combined with conventional therapy have been approved for the treatment of some kinds of cancer. The review of investigations on angiogenesis regarded to onset and
progression of liver pathology has been performed.
