Abstract provided by Publisher
Biliary atresia is the progressive hepatobiliary disorder leading to cirrhosis in the majority of patients. With all benefits brought with introduction of Kasai procedure, unknown etiology and pathogenesis as well as lack of randomized trials make it difficult to optimize postoperative therapy. Thus, multicenter cooperation seems to be crucial in the future progress in clinical approach.
