The pathogenesis of chronic HCV infection hasn’t been fully known yet. However, the new methods of viral life cycle assessment have brought the new information about the virus itself and about its role in the pathogenesis of chronic infection. The authors present the virus structure, its proteins role in immune response inhibition and potential targets for new antiviral drugs.
