Abstract provided by Publisher
Abnormal liver tests in children with a tumor in whom chemiotherapy has been
introduced are an indication to perform differential diagnosis, which should take into account liver function before chemiotherapy, potential hepatotoxicity of anticancer drugs, neoplasm infiltration and infectious factors. In this paper we present structural and functional changes in the liver that can be observed
in children with a neoplastic disease. Hepatotoxicity of chemiotherapy is discussed and the whole spectrum of liver disease from abnormal transaminases to liver failure is presented.
