Currently available options for the treatment chronic hepatitis B include interferon alpha and oral antiviral agents. Pegylated interferon alpha may offer higher sustained off-therapy responses after one year. In this article were present relatively new predictors of effective therapy (HBsAg and HBeAg concentrations) and molecular aspects of HBV infection.
