The main goals of hepatitis B therapy are durable viral suppression and avoidance of antiviral resistance. Entecavir has a high genetic barrier and big antiviral activity. It concerns as well patients HBeAg positive as negative. Efficacy of treatment increases according to time of therapy. Antiviral resistance was present in 1.2% patients during 6 years of entecavir treatment.
