Combined therapy with pegylated interferon and ribavirin represents the standard of care for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C according to current guidelines. In Poland, children with chronic hepatitis C are treated with non-pegylated interferon and ribavirin. In this article the pros and cons of pegylated interferon treatment in children were present.
